Our Story

NewhouseRusin was formed by Jeffrey P. Newhouse and Sebastian L. Rusin to assist their clients with tax planning strategies that minimize, defer and/or eliminate tax liabilities.

Having graduated from the Master of Taxation program at the University of Waterloo and having articled together at an international accountancy firm, both Jeffrey and Sebastian identified a lack of comprehensive tax planning being provided to entrepreneurial business owners and independent professionals.

Understanding the dynamics of these businesses and their owners, Jeffrey and Sebastian set out to create a full-service Chartered Accountancy firm focused on providing sound business advice and integrated tax solutions.

Building on a well-established Chartered Accountancy practice developed over the past 30 years by Peter J. Newhouse, NewhouseRusin strives to provide the same high level of service clients have come to respect, while adding additional value through their extensive knowledge of Canadian income tax legislation.

Both Jeffrey and Sebastian have a firm commitment to understanding their clients’ business, financial and personal needs. They will work closely with each client to custom design strategies that maximize value, while at the same time considering any income tax planning opportunities.
